We use an Escrow system. When a client pays a freelancer for any service, the payment goes through a centralised payment gateway. The system then records the amount in the freelancer’s Escrow balance within their digital wallet. Once the work is completed and approved by the client, the system transfers the pending funds to the freelancer’s main wallet balance. If clients or freelancers report an issue, our team will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include refunding the money to the client’s wallet (depending on the outcome).
Bridges are a type of virtual currency that freelancers use to submit a job proposal or place a bid. They serve as the key to “bridging” with clients and showing interest in available jobs. When you sign up for a free freelancer account, you receive 5 Bridges by default. While purchasing additional Bridges is optional, having fewer than other freelancers can put you at a disadvantage. To submit a job proposal or place a bid, you must have enough Bridges – each proposal or bid requires ONE Bridge. Please note that Bridges are non-refundable, even if the client cancels the job.
